At the end of 2015 I felt like I needed a new photography project. Me and the rest of the world, I know… But I am a photographer and at some point last year I’ve lost my mojo. It happens. But when I could slowy feel the creative energy come back I thought about what I could do to with my intention to create something and make pretty things that people like to look at, so here we are…
This project, which I’ve creatively called “52 weeks | 52 portraits” is surely nothing new. As the name suggests I want to take (at least) one portrait every week in 2016 and publish them on this blog. It’s been done before, some people even did that every day of the year but I know me and even though I can be very engrossed by an idea, sometimes I am just too lazy to follow through. So I decided to stick to something that asks for commitment but is doable and hopefully won’t turn into a chore but will be a fun challenge for me.
I love photography and there are always things to learn. I hope I will get some new ideas, improve, step out of my comfort zone and create some great portraits along the way.
The people on this blog will be friends as well as strangers that I’ll meet on the streets. To tell a story I’m going to try and find out a little bit about them if possible. After all this project is personal to me and shall be personal for everyone in front of my lens too.
If you want to be part of this project please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Until then please enjoy the portraits shown.
