I just got back from a lovely weekend in Paris with my friends. Since we’ve all been there before, there was no need to visit the touristy sights – which meant we instead spent 2 days walking around the city and eating all the food. It was fantastic.
One of the places we already knew we had to check out was bol, a porridge bar. The only one in Paris actually. A cute little coffee shop that serves coffee and all sorts of porridge and granola. The best thing is that my friend Louisa knows the owners, Audrey and Maaike. They opened the place only 10 months ago – turns out french people love porridge. Knowing that, we’ve all kind of been “fangirling” the store from afar and couldn’t wait to visit ourselves. And while we were there I even took the chance to get my next weekly portrait after breakfast.
This is Audrey. Entrepreneur. French. Lovely.
Audrey is a very sweet person with an adorable french accent. She’s originally from St. Tropez but moved to Paris a year ago to open bol. Seems like she’s doing very well in the big city and I can’t stretch enough how great her breakfast place is. I hope business will keep going the way it does for her and Maaike at the minute. And I know, next time I’m in Paris, I will have some yummy porridge at bol again.
