52 weeks – the photography project

It’s the end of 2015 and I feel like I need a new photography project. Me and the rest of the world, I know… But I am a photographer and at some point this year I’ve lost my mojo. It happens. But I can slowy feel it coming back and while I’m in a creative mood I think about what I could do to with my intention to make pretty things that people like to look at.

This project, which I’ve creatively called “52 weeks | 52 portraits” is surely nothing new. As the name suggests I want to take (at least) one portrait every week in 2016 and publish them on this blog. It’s been done before, some people even did that every day of the year but I know me and even though I can be very focused to stick to a plan I sometimes am just too lazy to follow through. So I decided to stick to something that asks for commitment but is doable and hopefully won’t turn into a chore but will be a fun challenge for me.
I love photography and there are always things to learn. I hope I will get some new ideas, improve, step out of my comfort zone and create some great portraits along the way.

The people on this blog will most likely be friends at first but I want to overcome my fear of approaching strangers on the street and take their portraits as well. We’ll see how that goes. Wish me luck.
